EMDR & IFS therapist in Beaverton, OR

Ruth Hescock, LPC, LMHC

If you’ve spent years being the “strong one,” the helper, the responsible one — you’re in the right place. Many of my clients are people-pleasers, perfectionists, caretakers, and driven professionals who look like they have it all together on the outside… while quietly feeling overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, or disconnected on the inside.

My passion is helping you understand why these patterns developed — and supporting you as you move toward self-trust, emotional safety, and genuine inner peace.

“When we allow ourselves to get curious about our inner world we become an observer in our own experience. This allows space for us to compassionately embrace our own complexity. Only then can we move toward the change we desire.”

My Approach to Therapy

I provide trauma-informed, compassionate therapy grounded in curiosity. My style is warm, collaborative, and deeply respectful of your lived experience. I believe we all have inner wisdom and ultimately know what’s best for ourselves. I see my clients as the experts in their own experience, and my role is to help my clients connect with their inner wisdom so they can begin living the life they want and deserve.
